Sometimes going to get your car serviced is a somewhat daunting experience, particularly when you don\u2019t like talking to people, or talking…or people. When you arrive at the dealership, you will be welcomed by a “greeter.” Often, this person will take the vehicle identification number (VIN) and the vehicle’s mileage and write this on a form that is given to the service advisor. Your car is about to be driven away for servicing so remember to take your wallet, purse, computer, delicious iced mocha, and anything else you need. You will then meet with the service advisor. You can answer, “There are 20,000 miles on my car, but all I want is an oil and filter change and tire rotation.” You are not obligated to do all the listed maintenance that is suggested, but know that if they think that something needs urgent attention they will definitely let you know. <\/span><\/p>\n

Later, while inspecting your vehicle, the technician may sometimes notice additional items that need attention on your car, such as an oil leak or a worn hose. He then makes those recommendations to the advisor. They will go over what you would like done once the initial inspection is done. Once you have decided on what you want to be done they will bring you around to pay for your work and get to fixing up what needs fixing. <\/span><\/p>\n
