Friday is the first day of winter and most of us have already been hit with some winter weather. If I had to guess I would say that there is plenty more coming our way. So, before it’s too late and you find yourself stuck in a situation (literally stuck in the snow), you should get your vehicle prepared. We wanted to help you out so we created a list of some of the most important things that we feel should be in your vehicle this winter.

Lots of people don’t take survival kits seriously, but in the winter they are especially important. Making sure your vehicle is properly prepared for storms, breakdowns, and accidents is extremely important, if you’re in an area with no cell service. • Sturdy ice scraper and snow brush.

• A small shovel.

• Blankets

• Emergency flares or reflectors

• Rock salt, sand, or kitty litter

• First aid kit

• Extra windshield wiper fluid

• A flashlight

• Rope or Chain (for pulling your vehicle out)

• Jumper cables

• Small tool kit

• Sunglasses

• Portable cell phone charger

• Water and non-perishable snacks

* These are important things to keep in your vehicle throughout the winter, but before you even hit the road be sure that your gas and wiper fluid tanks are full. Also be sure all of your tires are inflated to the correct PSI!
